Lana Jaff

Psychologist

          Lana Jaff is a dedicated psychologist based in Sydney, holding a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and membership with the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS). She is deeply passionate about mental health and early intervention, striving to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. Lana's ability to communicate in Kurdish (Sorani) and her cultural awareness of Farsi and Arabic-speaking backgrounds allows her to effectively connect with a diverse range of clients, ensuring therapy is tailored to individual needs.

 

          Lana employs a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and principles of positive psychology. This comprehensive toolkit enables her to address a broad spectrum of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to trauma and ADHD. Lana is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment, empowering individuals to not only manage challenges but also to flourish. She aims to help clients achieve long-term positive change, fostering resilience and enhancing their overall quality of life.

         

          Beyond her clinical practice, Lana is a strong advocate for mental health awareness. Her work on a government advisory committee has influenced policies aimed at reducing stigma and integrating mental health support into business practices. She values the importance of holistic wellbeing, finding balance through activities like hiking, swimming, and yoga.
