Clinical Psychologist

          Rainer is a Clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience providing counselling and treatment for individuals from diverse backgrounds and ages for a wide range of counselling, mental health and medical concerns. This includes providing therapy for concerns such as depression, anxiety, shyness and social anxiety, life-transitions, self-esteem, and relationship difficulties. Additionally, Rainer offers diagnostic assessments and support services for adult Autism and ADHD.

 

          Rainer aims to provide an individualised, holistic, empathic and caring service that is both personal and highly professional. He enjoys working with individuals and couples in providing tools, techniques and strategies towards living a life of authenticity, to be more present focused and more in the moment. 

 

          Dedicated to ongoing professional development, Rainer ensures that he uses up-to-date, evidence-based strategies and tools in his practice. Depending on your needs, the modalities Rainer employs include Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). 

 

           Rainer offers appointments to clients aged 18 and older. He values diversity and provides a safe and welcoming space that is affirming of cultural diversity, religious and spiritual beliefs, neurodivergence, people living with disabilities, and diversity in gender and sexuality including LGBTIQA+.

 

           Rainer holds a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology. He is fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia. He is also a Full Member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and Fellow of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists (FCCLP).
